It has been a miserable December! In the area where I live, we have actually had more or less continuous rain and / or fog for 29 days in a row! And in such situations it becomes easy to leave the camera on a shelf! But – then you have a phone in your pocket! A phone that comes in handy when it comes to capturing ‘instant moods’, appearing when it stops raining for a moment! Like here on the banks of the Drammens river!

Yes, we might reflect our weather to a certain extent, but there is a limit to everything.
Times goes by anyway and statistically nothing lasts forever! 🙂

To the dogs, I think – or was the corona?
Last year I was outside my door only 40-50 days for groceries!
Where have you been? Behind the canavas?

Yes behind the canvas and with my knitting…. Sometimes you just have to create… 🙂 Walking and just BE-ing… I have not been travelling around Wp as often… taking a break… 🙂 While replying and visiting to comments… Sometimes we have to take care of ourselves and stop trying to dash around every one… I follow too many blogs to keep up with every post every one makes… I no longer worry.. 🙂 lol….. So we catch up when we can.. 🙂

Following a blog is a serious business if one wants to do it right, but needing some time for photography, I have no time but for 4-5 blogs. Sad, but true!
And as you may know, I have reduced my so called ‘followers’ from approximately 3000
and down to less than 100! Surprisingly my traffic volumes increased with approximately
35-40%! As it turned out, most of them were not even there any more. But when some leave, you do not receive a message to that extent! Unfortunately!

Yes I did a trim last year… of blogs I follow and still I follow over 300 myself… On inspection many had disappeared.. 😀

Then you understand! There are very few bloggers out there that last for more than 3-4 years.
It is hard work – much harder than expected – to succeed. They might also shift interest as well as platforms.
I’m happy with my 100 and they have been with me for 5 years or more – most of them!

Yes I too am grateful for my followers and readership and those who make the regular effort back.. 😀
I have been blogging since 2007… I transferred my blog over to WP in 2010

Yes, I have been at it for a pretty long time too, but I don’t recollect whether it was in 2005 or 2006, but at an altogether different platform (A large Norwegian newspaper), but since then I have started anew on to different platforms before I ended up at WP Oct. 2012
Perhaps it might be time to call it a day?! 🙂

I think so long as it is a pleasure to blog dear Svein, and it doesn’t become a chore, you should blog in your own time at your own pace, which is what I now do.
Have a wonderful 84th Year my friend
Have a great day.🤗🙏

I think so too! I have just experienced another little thing:
Over the years I have been building a blog with nearly 2000 posts and more than 8000 pictures. It ought to be plenty to see, but
as I have not published any new pictures for a couple of weeks, then there are no new visitors! Evidently only ‘fresh meat’
will suffice, which means that all I have been publishing over the years are a total waste! That really makes one think!

Nothing is ever a waste my friend. I could say the same if all if my poetry no one reads but if only one person reads and enjoys and it brightens their day. I’m happy. What I do is republish my old writings, that new people might discover. You should try that with some if you
favouritess. Just a click to copy and publish. 🙏💚🤗
Enjoy your evening.

Well, I know about this possibility, of course, but I have only copied myself a dozen times or so through all these years. 2000 posts should be just that: 2000 unique posts and no copies! But, that is just me and my way of thinking, I guess? (Stuck! 🙂 )
But I have found that most bloggers have little or no time for ‘archives’ – unfortunately! So – if age taken into consideration –
I have been contemplating whether I have done enough of this? But then I do love to find new motives, new angles, new lighting a.s.o.
so maybe I will end up reducing the volumes and leave it at that?

Well, in Norway we have got houses with waterproof roofs on! 🙂
And tomorrow . . . TOMORROW we will be having sunshine for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea! I won’t tell you what we will be eating after that! Merry Xmas, David!

I’d say! During a normal December we usually have 10-35 inches of snow, but nothing seems to normal any more!

You know, us too in London we had so much rain, and it seems more coming. In Summer we didn’t have enough. It is not very cold though, so I’m not complaining. Wishing you restful days and stay healthy. Much love from Ute xx

So that is where it is all coming from?! 😉
Well, now – today we have just had our first sun in a very long time and the forecast predicts a sunny tomorrow as well! I just shot a panorama of the outside world. Green as you would expect in March/April!!! 🙂

Rain and fog for 29 days in a row seem pretty dreary! Our weather has been a mix of everything though snow showers are in the forecast for tomorrow. The photos reflect the dreariness but also very serene.

Today we have had our first real sunshine in 29 days!!! And our fields are completely green, although night temperatures have been below zero for most of the month except
for a couple days when we were busy registering a heat record of 17C plus in some parts
of the country! We have enevn a stubborn flower blossoming directly outide our entrance door!!!
