Another Experiment

Again, this is a ‘night picture’, but this time I have deliberately failed to use the camera’s ‘night function’. The reason for this is that with increased light sensitivity at night, an object such as the moon in a dark sky will be much like photographing directly into a floodlight; a result I can be without! Instead, I set the camera to a completely normal light sensitivity, but increased the zoom to x20 !!! The latter is also not recommended because it becomes practically impossible to hold the camera – and perhaps especially a telephone – stable enough in the moment of exposure. Thus, the image becomes usually quite blurry (useless), but precisely because it is dark, the blur did not become quite as prominent.
The house – located about 1.5 km away – became a bit blurry (as expected), but the moon – which is 385 000 km away – became a little more acceptable. And perhaps it –  seen as an ‘atmosphere in the night’,   can actually be shared with you! 🙂

Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

Wow! A rather haunting shot and just in time for Halloween for those that believe.

    Very very nice picture!

Well, far from sharp enough, Jola, but at night and zoom x20 I guess this the best I can expect? A bit happier about the moon itself. Of course, there are a certain unsharpness^there as well, but 385 000 km’s away, you don’t notice! 😉
