Night Vision Surprise

Unfortunately, this turned out to be a bit less than perfect picture and can almost be considered a small experiment: Over the last few days we have experienced what are called ‘tropical nights’ here where we live. It follows that we had just spent a night with a wonderful shrimp meal with white wine and – it had become quite late before we got home. In fact, this photo was taken at 00.56 A.M. at night, and – our immediate surroundings could well be described as ‘pitch dark’ ?! But then there was something up there in the sky that seemed very unusual. I made the mistake of switching to ‘wide-screen’ to get the most out of the sky, but looking back that I thus captured much of the immediate surroundings – and then some. But then there was this about the light. I also switched to a ‘night’ program located on the phone. Exposure thus became a somewhat lengthy affair, but quite exciting? The very special cloud formations I had discovered were duely documented, however looked apparently much further away than they actually were.
Still – apart from the light in the neighbor’s garage, it was pitch dark! But it does not seem to have any particular significance with this camera? 🙂

(Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

What a gorgeous sky, Svein, and that is an unusual cloud formation. Great capture.
