As I have written here before: It has been a long and extra wet December, but the day before Christmas Eve (Dec.23), the sun suddenly came back. And since rain and plus degrees are inextricably linked, we haven’t had much snow either! The usual for this time of year are temperatures around minus 5-12C and with from 30 -60 cm of snow here where I live, but – as everyone can see: At the moment ‘snow’ is what we have the least of! And degrees below zero we have only had occasionally, but usually during nights.

Please return me to INDEX for a new picture/destination.
Beautiful photo, I love the transition from the darker foreground to the light.

Hi, Sue –
Well, yes- we have had some snow – and rains, bit approximately 20th or 21st the snow started to fall and at the same time temperatures fell to minus 16C, then dropped back to
around 8-10 degrees, but – the winter has arrived. At the moment I think we have something like 15-10 inches out there! And Christmas is behind us. Fortunately!
I another 4 days I’m reaching 84 and the ‘Corona’ has still not found me!

Congratulations dear Svein… You are exactly ten years senior to my hubby.. 🙂 May it never find you… or us..
Unfortunately it has found several members of my family.. My Son at the moment is ill with it.. So prayers appreciated.. ❤

Sorry to hear that, Sue, but if he is less than 50 I guess his chances are pretty good?
And the vaccines has arrived! Keep your fingers crossed! But seen from this side of the North Sea, it seems the learning curve is rather steep in the UK as well as the US?
We need to adapt! The virus has come to stay, and noth much will ever be the same again!

I agree Svein… he is 46 later this year.. And has been in the front line a bus driver.. But to be honest he usually gets a cold very easily, this is like a flu.. with temp headache and aching limbs.. He is feeling rough at the moment.. But he is fighting it..
And I agree.. we cannot keep hiding in our homes for ever…. The mortality rates are proving higher from lockdown.. than the virus.. But no one is projecting those figures.. Sadly.. And as many people died of Tuberculosis last year as they have of Covid, another raspatory disease that no one seems to bother about..

You could inquire at your pharmacy if they have ever heard about ‘Ivermectin’.
I have read that doctors in the US have been using this medicament prophylactic and
with surprising efficiency. Provided it is the corona he has got!
2 tablets a day (12 -14 mg) is supposed to work wonders in 2-3 day’s time?!
If he is already infected they say that 2-3 drops directly on his tongue 2-3 times a day
will end the problem in days. As for myself, I haven’t been able to find it here!

Thank you Svein I will write that down.. Not heard of it.. But my daughter runs a health food store where she sells lots of tinctures and drops etc.. of natural origin… When we were both ill in 2019 in Dec before the outbreak.. we had all the said symptoms but it was not made aware until Jan then March we shut down..
We took BronchcoForce.. a medicine in drop form made from from Ivy.. It helped remove mucus from a bad chesty cough.. So thank you for that 🙂

Well, Ute, we did have half an inch on the porch yesterday, but through the night the rain is back! Now we have our own ‘wetland’ and the snow has all gone!
Shortest ‘Christmas’ ever! 🙂 (And I don’t mind!)
