Expect the Unexpected!

As many of you will have noticed, we have a cat in the family. A long-haired cat!
Now during summer, it is out/in 10-15 times a day and it is not uncommon for us to find some elements from bushes, twigs, plant parts and other things that have been fastened in the fur and then falling off around the house and – as the rest of us living here must collect and get rid of!

So when I entered the kitchen before having put on my glasses, but still discovered something that ought to be removed from under the kitchen table. It was just that it was alive! Or ‘almost alive’! What I grabbed turned out to be a so-called ‘crane-fly’, but –
why didn’t it make a wholehearted attempt to escape? Might I just as well secure a good ‘passport photo’ of the intruder? As I said so done, and I quickly took 3-4 macro photos of this guest and – didn’t think much more about the matter.

But then I suddenly discovered why she seemed so sluggish kind of! Please observe what is located right under her left leg! Congratulations – mother!
Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

I’m afraid I can’t see what holds it back. I am however stunned by those wings. In your macros they look like stained glass windows. Beautiful.
