Yesss, there are many of you whom have long seen tulips in their gardens! However, it depends a bit on where in the country (or the world, for that matter) you live? But I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to take some useful macro pictures again. Something you may do when you are advised ‘ to stay home’ because you are a member of an exclusive group of ‘specially vulnerables’, but in such case often revert to a dear hobby: In my case: Photography! And today it mostly became macro!

The colour is wonderful
Thank you, Paola. How are things coming along in Italy these days?
Are things starting to look a bit better?
Here in Italy things are going a little bit better, very slowly indeed. Next week we will be allowed to visit relatives and friends (not allowed so far), to go jogging alone, and some people (not everybody) will go back to work. Let’s hope everybody will pay attention, wear a mask, wear gloves, so that the virus doesn’t become stronger again. Thank you for asking 🙂
There seems to be hope that they have found an effective vaccine, however, it will have to be tested for unacceptable side-effects before they start production. The first vaccines might be ready around Jan 2021 (if nothing goes wrong underway)
Fortunately it is still allowed to communicate via the internet 🙂
Yes, internet doesn’t spread the virus! Let’d hoper for the vaccine or for a useful medicine
The world simply cannot afford not to! Of course some remedy will be found, but normally it wouold take a couple of years. Now they have indicated ‘possibly Dec/Jan.’ )
Tulips are beautiful, great shot. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Reblogged this on Eugi's Causerie and commented:
Sharing beautiful photos from See Norway –
Oh, how gorgeous! I feel many of us need these beauties to brighten our day. Excellent photos showing every detail.
Thank you! Well that is the general idea shooting a macro shot!
There is another world right below our nose tips, a world very few have ever seen in detail, yet it’s there for the taking!
Another spring milestone…. But a very different year 😊
You can say that again! And it’s a very risky business, because just when you think you have won the war, you might find out that you just lost it!
I think Norway is about to make a major error these days by opening up too fast for foreign labour into our fields! That might turn out to be a costly decision! In about 3 weeks time we will know!
… and what a beautiful colour they have. Gorgeous pictures.
Wow, thank you for brightening my day. 🙂
If it doesn’t take much more than that, Ally, you’re so welcome! 🙂
Tulips don’t grow so well in South Africa, so I really appreciate seeing them. Have a good weekend Svein.
I guess the height have something to do with it? I remember visiting Nairobi some decades ago 🙂 and the temperatures were nearly like a Norwegian summer, but then Nairobi
is situated at something like 6000 feet 🙂
That is nearly twice the height of your table mountain! How is the fresh water situation down your way these days?
We don’t have as much rain as usual, but there is still a lot of fresh water.
That’s good to know. Last year the papers wrote that the largest cities in S.A. only had enough fresh water to last them a couple of weeks?
Yes, that’s true, Cape Town was on severe water restrictions last year. Usually it rains a lot there, so something is happening.
