Let there be Light . . .

As many of you know, I have recently done extensive testing of my new mobile phone and then with the main emphasis on camera and photo technology. And I am so surprised and pleased that I have hardly used any other camera of mine since I bought this phone!
So the other day I was on my way home sometime after midnight and – it was so dark that when I came to a street light out of operation, it was vitually impossible to make out where the road was going!
Here was my opportunity to test out the camera’s so-called ‘night feature’. Thus, I first clicked on a couple of pictures without asking the camera for anything else but taking a a couple of pictures as best it could. And not unexpectedly, things did not go very well. Where nothing exists, it is difficult to photograph anything at all.

But – this phone has a lot of different options! Also ‘Night Photo’! It was so dark that I could barely see what I was doing, but appearently I pressed right button?
Of course, these photos could have been sharper had it been possible to focus on details, but any way one looks at it, it was pretty much better than the first ones I shot?
Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

  1. Your Night feature looks to be working well.. 🙂

  2. I rarely use my 35 mm camera. My phone shots are easy and great for online photos.

Todays phone cameras have made hughe leaps forward! I’m extremely happy with my Huawei P30 Pro
A new P40 has arrived at the market, but so far I have decided to stick with my P30!

It surprised me as well! It looked like the camera made a test shot, then automatically corrected its chosen settings and followed through with yet another shot?! I’ll be testing this function a bit more to find it’s absolute limits! 🙂

Awesome- thanks for sharing. I don’t think I know how get the night modus on my iPhone, but I’ll look it up. I have accumulated so many photo apps that are sleeping in a folder and it will be good clear some storage space 👍🏻

Phone camera technology has been taking enormous steps lately.
Today I shot a couple of bees invading one of my crocuses in the garden and immediately I noticed that my phone had automatically selected a shutter speed of 1/1757 sec! Impressive!

      Hi, Thom, –
well, I don’t usually roam the night in my age, you know, but it was kind of fun trying. Now I know the potential I posess through this phone, but – thank you! 🙂
