Goodbye for now . . . !

Oh, no – I have no plans to disappear from here even though I do publish slightly less images at this time of year. But – I thought it timely to wish the day goodbye since these photos were taken at late afternoon January 31st. So it was January that disappeared! And with it also disappeared a prominent member of EU:  After a 47 year membership –
The U.K.  finally formalized its resignation with an agreement  at midnight on the last day of January 2020. A historic day with other words!

And ‘nature’ apparently marked the day in its own way, thus I had to photograph that!

Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

    These are absolutely beautiful

Awesome sunsets! The last photo is exceptional with the rays not willing to give way to darkness.

Thank you! This last shot has been taken in the direction where the sun actually disappears beyond the horizon – which is approximately 15 degrees to the right of where it seemed to be when I made my first shots.

  5. For many of us the 31st was not a day for celebrating…. And the weather was far from good I guess in sympathy with our feelings. 😕😔

It sounds if you have some scottish heritages? 🙂
I gather the UK is more or less divided on the subject, just like they are in the US, allthough for an entirely different reason?!
What is beyond me is how a judge may give a verdict to anything without hearing witnesses nor contemplate evidence? But it’s no problem of mine. (I don’t live in that country, and I don’t think I’d want to today?!)

      • It is all so strange….folk, mostly level headed voting for a President (US) and PM here in the UK that act so irrationally and tell lies.

Take notice of one important thing: Todays politicians are there (in office) for 3 things only: Money, power and selfesteem! They may no longer be trusted to do what they were elected to do: To find the best and most effective solutions to ‘everyday problems’ for the voters of a country. But, of course, they will still claim that there are no forms of corruption about?! Bah! There is nearly always another hidden
          agenda . . .!

A Day to remember, then! 🙂

Yes a day in history, with great Sunsets!
