Greetings of the Year

Then the Year 2019 will be leaving us in a few hours! And it is with a certain sadness that I observe that our world year by year is becoming a little more uneasy than in previous years. It applies to weather and climate as well as international political environments. After all, one had hoped that after two extensive world wars and a number of local and partly religiously contested conflicts, people would have perceived that ‘war’ does not hold the solution, but history unfortunately tends to repeat itself! I can only once again emphasize that contradictions are best solved by talking together !!!
This picture has been chosen to give you a bit of inspiration: Our local church from 1229!

Wishing you a very happy and healthy new year Svein. What a beautiful picture with the lovely church!

  2. Worth the drive….. not a bad way to say goodbye to a year and welcome the next 🙂

  4. Dear, you choose the perfect words: it’s unbelievable, but menkind never learn! Environment, brotherhood, peace are the most important topics, but it looks as if few people care. I wish you a nice 2020. Paola

    • Seenorway says:

      Thank you, Paola!
If I had been borm in 1985 or later I would probably tried to jump the gravy-train, only – I was born in 1937 when nothing much came easy! And I have through life learned one very important thing:
If someone offer you ‘the deal of the year’ (too good to be true), it’s because he/she believes he/she will be making a loth of profit on such a deal.
Which also means that you most probably will come out footing the bill!
‘No’ is a very important word!

You said it very well. Let’s hope that 2020 brings people a little bit closer to each other.
Happy New Year to you, Sveig.
