Time to Come Clean . . . !

Some of you will remember that last week I presented a small and highly private ‘art project’? And – I think it’s about time it’s time to let you in on the truth 🙂
Sure I drew some caricatures and I painted a little in my ‘youth’ , but – it never got any more serious than that. And this little ‘work of art’, with a relatively strong inspiration from Italy, was triggered by an event in our kitchen:
We discovered that a hidden glass of Italian pesto on the very back and bottom shelf had been left completely untouched by human hands for more than 4 months! And that the contents were suspiciously similar to a bacterial culture as one would expect in a proper laboratory! So I couldn’t resist the temptation to cut out a small segment of this glass and present it as some homemade ‘abstract art’. And colors and shades are real enough, but – really one product of  a fermentation process in our own refrigerator! 🙂

There are really so many things called ‘art’ these days?!

  1. I see why you didn’t think that I’d want to hang it up.

We find some fungi art in the back of our refrig ever now and then! Yikes! You know, art is in the eye of the beholder, so almost anything goes!

    Haha, good one! Nice fungus!
