The Invisible Sunset

Is there such thing as an invisible sunset, you probably think, but the answer is a little ‘yes’ and a little ‘no’! It is certain that the one I snapped the other day was a bit out of the ordinary. Please observe that the sun is below the horizon!
But not so far down that the light from the sun has been filtered into visible rays. Nevertheless, the light over the horizon is so strong that the area is approaching what we call a ‘burn-out’, but not quite! On the other hand, there are some clouds just about where I’m standing and these are starting to turn an unmistakably yellow to yellow-orange color.  So maybe this sunset was a little unusual anyway? Partly invisible? 🙂

  1. It’s a little bit unusual, but it’s very charming. We happen to see like this here in Italy
