Another Experiment

Hva synes dere?
I’m still exploring the many possibilities that lie in my new cell phone that really has to be said to be an advanced little computer in itself ?! Within its camera function, I discovered that I had the ability to affect the camera aperture by changing the selected focus point, which instantly changed the light and color intensity of the entire image.
In this picture, though, the evening sun shines over the nearest part of the field, but by choosing this particular focal point,  I think that I got a fairly optimal end-product?
What’s your opinion?

What type of phone is it?…the photos are really good.

I nearly don’t dare to tell you, but never mind . It’s a Huawei P30 Pro!
And I’m very happy with it. The reason I bought it: I had a ‘Huawei Mate 20 Pro’ before this, and it never let me down!
The ‘P30 Pro’ hasn’t either, but I’m still discovering new ways to work it!

I like the fact that my phone is my camera because it is always with me. Thanks for the information! I think it may be too expensive for me! 🙂

That was my problem also. But being an old man (unfortunately) I got fed up carrying 10 lb’s of lenses and cameras wherever I went, so when this phone packs a camera like it does, I’m quite happy with it. Since I bought this phone, I really haven’t shot one single frame with my regular camera. It remains in the bag!
As for price, – Yes, you pay for what you get, and when it performs as a regular camera (at times even better) it’s pretty fair that the price also corresponds with a regular camera, don’t you think? And I may easily use it 3 days in a row without charging. And you can’t call your mother on a regular camera! 🙂 That counts for something as well, I think?! By the way: The prices for my old phone is dropping these days. I think you’ll be able to buy a Mate 20 Pro for something like
US $ 940-950 these days. That is a lot of money too, but the camera on that phone was swell also!

Yes, I agree, as you say you pay for what you get…I’m going to have a look around. It’s good that you don’t have to charge it for 3 days. I like your recommendations. 🙂

            • Seenorway says:

I should stress the fact that I may use my phone for 3 days without charging, but – that’s me! And I’m not having calls all day long, nor do I walk head down looking intently with at my phone and with an airplug to go with it! 🙂 But it’s got a very large battery:
Depending on the model you choose 4200 – 4500 mah!

  2. The colours are perfect

Your photo is stunning. It has a 3D effect, perhaps because of the sun and different levels of terrain.

    • Seenorway says:

Thank you, Eugenia! We call it ‘depth of field’, and in this case (where I may alter the aparture by changing the focal point),
it might end up giving an increased ‘depth’ or 3-D-effect if you will. I noticed it my self as I checked the sharpness of the plants only a couple of yards away and then the tree tops at the top of the various hills visible in this picture! I’m pretty happy with the result of this camera! And I think it’s gonna be a while before I’m bringing my Olympus M-1 back into play?!

      • -Eugenia says:

I feel all the shots you have shared from your phone camera are stunning. It must be easier on you not to have to carry a lot of equipment.

        • Seenorway says:

Absolutely! And to be honest: Sice I purchased this phone I haven’t been shooting one single frame with my old camera! But I feel I have still a long way to go before I may use all elements effectively! I do no longer catch on quite as quick as before! 🙂
