Next step: Hydalen Valley

I promised you that I’d try to get some more pictures from my trip to the inner parts of Hemsedal ready for this afternoon, and here are some more, however, not all . . .

And here we’re departing the Lake Vavatn heading towards the beautiful valley named
‘Hyndalen’. You may distiguish the road winding through the terrain along the right hand top of this picture. And – where you may spot a consentration of holiday cabins (near the lake), the road will make a sharp right hand turn before plummeting down into the beautiful ‘Hydalen’ valley! (Not visible in this picture!)
Si ‘adjø’ til det vakre Vavatnet!
Please bid Good bye  to the beautiful ‘Lake Vavatn’!
Herfra går det for det meste nedover!
From here on it’s mostly downhill!

A small creek is following the road down through the valley, or was it the other way around? 🙂

The water looks very clear and refreshing, but – one may get fooled?! In these areas there are livestock grazing through the summer, and even if they move within fences and in certain areas of the valley, the water does not!

But please note notice the green and tempting mountain slopes! No wonder the livestock
thrives in these surroundings?

I mentioned that the mountain roads were pretty narrow here trough these mountains.
Please observe my car – parked as close to the edge of the road as one dare – not knowing the stability of the roadsides. And if there is a car of about the same size as min now, it’s gonna be a bit sticky to get past . . .

A picture shot with something called ‘living colors’ became pure art seen with the eyes of nature (or an artist) :-), but this little pond was no more than approximately 20z25 inches!

For the first time in history I have set out on a long haul without my regular main camera!
Only my mobile phone with its in-built camera! I hope that you’ll find that good enough?

Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

It looks all so beautifully clean and crisp. The water so blue, Pure nature! thank you for those amazing pictures! Yes the road is rather small. I guess there is not that much traffic hopefully though.

      Hi, Ute –
Well, I did pas a dozen cars trying to find a parking space in a bend with a bit more room, but otherwise nearly no cars at all (which is nice). This time it seems I only got the one message at the time. I’ll be keeping an eye out and alert you if it happens again. Silly ipof me not to note the time, which might have steered you in the right direction=
