Yesterday Oslo reported to have gotten hit by a thunderstorm with lots of rain creating havoc in its streets and – we could observe the cloudbanks on the far horizon. At the same time – from another direction – we could see that we’d probably be hit as well?
In this last picture, I tried to manipulate the shutterspeed in order to catch the raindrops, but – unfortunately I must also have hit on some other buttons that reduced the size as well pixel density, but I hope you might still get a small impression of this sudden downpour of ‘liquid sunshine’? 😀
Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to INDEX for a new picture/destination.
Yikes! Those clouds look threatening. We have some grumpy stuff that comes around in the afternoon and leaves a big mess. Trees fall on houses and cars and the power goes out for hours. We have been lucky thus far by escaping mother nature’s wrath.
That’s about what happened to the city of Oslo! We got off rather easy and it was all over inside 15 minutes. But it lookeds rather threathening, yes !
Gosh the clouds looked threatening! With high temperatures and humidity comes thunderstorms. I know that living in northern Australia better than most.
Dramatic! The weather is the best show, better than TV!
Not because the weather so good, perhaps, but ’cause todays TV-shows are so bad!
Mostly all re-runs seen before several times over all through summer!
Glad we are not the only ones getting wet.
. Though they do tell us a heatwave is on the way 😊
I know! First they told us that it would most probably stay in CentralEurope and thet temperatures wereexpected to be normal i Norway, but yesterday that changed.
Suddenly it was supposed to get warmer and with the forthcoming Saturday reaching 28 – 30 degrees. For a single day that is no problem, but if it last for a week or two, I expect it will have an impact on farming and potential crops?!
31c predicted for Saturday… High humidity as well
