Delicado

🙂I was in real doubt as to whether I should even try to use this picture, as it turnes out to be quite a challenge for the camera as well as myself! As you can all observe: This is some unknown specie of a butterfly/swarmer but the wing span is no more than approximately 12 mm. And it haf found refuge from the rainy weather on the outside of our kitchen window. Besides the picture has been shopt at a distance of about one inch only!
And I haven the faintest idea what kind of insect I have shot here, but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to shoot the very unusual wing structure that remind me more of the feather structure with a bird than the wings of a normal butterfly?
But I did get myself a very different picture this time? 🙂 And, og course, all sides with my mobile camera has to be tested! 🙂
The quality of thos shot might have been better, but here it is anyway! And in lack of a better more suitable name, I’ve chosen to call it ‘Delicado’! 🙂

Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

What a creature, and great shot. It does look almost alien, like someone else said.

That would explain it, Sue ! 🙂
But please note the structure of its wings! How would this in effect work in practice?
It seems that each wing have 11 or 12 separate feather-looking elements? And how will they work in unison?
      ‘Strange’ to put it mildly!

      • Yes maybe its a nanobot! lol.. Drone… I cannot fathom its wing structure either.. Maybe you should send the picture to a bug specialist to identify.. We have a few wild life sites here in the UK which you can do that to..
I am sure they would be interested.. or at least give you its name.
