Portrait of a Monarch

Aw, did you expect me to publish a picture of the royal family of Norway?
Oh no, I haven’t nearly obtained a status like that 🙂 , but the world is filled with monarchs! Other ‘monarchs’! And this particular one, with the patience he’s been showing me, has just about had it, I think? I can feel the question hanging in the air: ‘Aren’t you soon through with that darned thing now’?!
So I packed my gear and got out of there in a hurry . . .!

Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

So the Painted Lady Vanesa cardui at least arrived in your garden.
The look of a butterfly’s face can be so confusing: is it a mean look or does it mean, it is perplexed?
