From my colleguae on the West Coast, I have received a magnificent panorama showing
Mt. Loenahorgi at the settlement named ‘Voss’, still boasting white snow at the top but with ever greener hillsides down towards the valley. And , of course, we take great joy in sharing such pictures with you all!
‘Mt. Loenahorgi is not among the largest mountains in Norway – only standing 4653 feet tall, but it’s still an impressive sight hovering over the mountain settlement of Voss.
In the old days there used to be a cable lift to the top, however, that has been dismantled for renovations. A brand new cable lift has been erected, but as of yet – not officially opened. But it will be in the very near future!

Please return me to INDEX for a new picture/destination.

Well now! If the weather is agreeable, and only with a couple of days in Oslo, may I suggest a couple of small things to do?

-and of course, you ought to walk our main street: ‘The Carl Johan’ from our Parliament to the
Royal Castle (in the top end), and perhaps you’ll be able to get inside to have a real look?

and at long last there is the Akershus Castle/Fortress down at the waterfront in Oslo Harbour!

Depending on your interests, of course!
Beautiful shot by your friend. It looks like a scene from a movie, serene and idyllic.
Looks lovely. As I have only a couple of days off in July, I have booked a city break in Oslo… it will be my first encounter with Norway.
