One Evening in February

Tonight I’m sitting here with an impression of having survived a bushfire, but – there is no smell of anything burning and the truth is therefore more like having had a run in with nature from a seat in first row?! It did, however, start in a modest way . . .
This first picture has been shot towards the West where one expects sunsets to manifest themselves?!

But then I suddenly get this sight high in the sky towards the North?!Men himmelen i øst er ikke helt borte den heller!
But the sky in the East is by no means outside of the competition?

In the meantime something has really changer out West!

🙂  Men nei, – hel ufarlig.

I’m zooming closer to really experience nature at close range, and suddenly the colors become more intense – Can you smell the fire now? 🙂 But no, it’s all completly safe.
Only a fantastic memory from a beautiful February evening! I just didn’t have a hearth to alter the format of this picture, so I guess you’ll have to do some scrolling to take it all in?!

Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

  1. We are seeing some wonderful red sunsets here too.. Beautiful captures Svein

  2. Paola says:

Sunset “on fire” in Italy as well, with high temperatures and high pollution

  3. Woww wonderful colors! 🙂 Lucky you!

    • Seenorway says:

Well, we have all access to the sun ,- at least some days every month 🙂 , and I think it’s much being in the right place at the right time. That means observing the sky every day at least one hour before sundown, judge the posibillities and calculate where you’d want to be when the sun decends below the horizon one hour later? But we all share our quantity of sunlight and own the decision as to whether we’ll utilize it?! 🙂

How fortunate, you are surrounded by beauty. Each photo is full of awesomeness. The last photo definitely gives the appearance a fire.

    • Seenorway says:

Thank you! I suddenly discovered that if I zoom in with my camera phone, it suddenly deepens and intensifies the colors a bit different from regular SRL-cameras and opens up a new world to colors! 🙂 Of course, you don’t get the full scope of nature, but still . . .
It becomes all about the choice made there and then!

      • -Eugenia says:

You seem to be quite pleased with your camera phone.

        • Seenorway says:

Well, yes, thank you! It has surprised me – positively – on many areas where I didn’t really expect it to, and when it fits into a pocket – always on the ready – it saves me a lot of carrying around. After all this phone/camera weighs in at less than 300 g’s whereas my
premium camera – being electronic and lightweight with bag and lenses weigh 7-8 times that much! The fact that I haven’t been shooting one single picture with that camera over the last 3 months ought to tell you something?

  5. Seenorway says:

Well, we do have days on end with low hanging fog as well, and there’s tons of snow – at times – and rains to go with it! 🙂 In other words: Plenty of weather (of all kinds!)

  6. utesmile says:

Really intense colours you have! I think , I would sit at the window all evening, better than TV. 🙂
