The Macro Challenge

ca 5-6 cm avstand under tildels moderate lysforhold.  Kameraet har jo i utgangspunktet en oppløsning på 40 mpx, men det gjelder ‘full-format’. Antagelig er denne originalen langt mindre og dessuten ytterligere redusert før publisering, men likevel . . .
Most of you might remember that I’m these days testing what might be possible – and what not – with my new mobile-camera. And the other day I walked into a new challenge as we suddenly had an unexpected visitor from the outside world waiting for us on the tiles of the kitchen wall.  I have no idea at all what kind of creature this is, but this macro image has been shot at a distance of approximately 2,5 inches. Originally the camera shoots at
40 mpx, but this orignal is way smaller than the extended wide screen and besides it’s also reduced for publishing, but still . . .

Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

  1. Lovely clear photo, and no doubt the bugs are feeling the cold too 🙂 We have had one or two flies come in from the cold too.. and Ladybugs 😀

Great shot! … and keep warm!

Poor thing just trying to keep warm. Nice and clear shot, Svein. Btw, I read an article in the “WordPress Tavern” informing the old classic editor will be available until 2022, if not later. Good news for you and some of my other followers that don’t like the Gutenberg editor.

Well, yes – that’s good news! I’ve said it before and I repeat it willingly: The day the remove the Classic Editor, that’s the day this blog of mine goes silent!
Hopefully I’ll be going first?! 🙂

The poor little thing is only 11 mm long in RL, but – from a 40 px original I managed to blow it up to a body length of 11,5 inches on my screen! 🙂

Most likely, yes! This morning we registered 10 below zero (Celsius)

This is some sort of lacewing, usually considered a beneficial garden insect. Probably came in from the cold!
