Asker – Lake Ulvenvatnet

I’m almost being a bit uneasy of tireing you all with ever new cameras for testing, but I’m pretty sure this will be the last one!
As you will recall, I recently bought myself a new mobilcamera – a Huawei, but – I seemed to buy this one month too early? Not before
had I bought this Huawei, then they released another newer and much better model, and with future macro photography in mind, of course, I just had to buy that one as well! So here I am with a brand new ‘Huawei Mate 20 Pro’, and this is the very first shot with that camera! Which, by the way, has won every comparison test among mobile cameras this fall. But I do expect to use a bit of time before I learn to master all the tools of this camera. Please stay with me! 🙂
This is a picture from the ‘Lake Ulvenvatnet’ separating the municipalities of ‘Lier’ and ‘Asker’.

Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

A beautiful capture 😊

Fun playing with cameras! I was really getting into it, then they became too cumbersome. Most of my photos now are simply taken with my iPhone(!) It’s more the ease of slipping it into a pocket while I roam this lovely island 😉 Aloha, Svein. Beautiful photo!

I fully understand your point of view, Bela. I’ve been packing a camera since early 50’thies, and gradually they have been more advanced, larger and heavier, but a couple of years back the trend reversed somewhat and mirrorless electronic cameras came about.
The weight fell by 50% and the quality kept rising. I’ve got one of those, of which I’m very content, however, even mirrorless cameras weigh something like 8-900 grams including a lense. My mobile camera weigh less than 200 grams and fits into a pocket!
And it will suffice at least 75-80% of the time!

Beautiful shot, crisp and clear, Svein. I’d say you may a good choice with your new phone.

Well, there wasn’t much to complain over with my first one either, but 24 mpx isn’t quite the same as 40 mpx 🙂 but at least I’m in position to experiment and compare . . .
The advantage being that this one is nearly always within reach, thus able to shoot a scene whenever I come across one!

  5. Love the new camera shot Svein, beautiful lake.. ❤

  6. Lekker fargegjengivelse!

    And about that cash, David,-
If I shall have any joy what-so-ever from it, I might as well use some whilst I’m still alive, don’t
you think . . ? There’s no guarantees, you know!

  8. Seenorway says:

Yes, what do you know, David, the other day my phone suddenly rang!!!
Well, not ‘rang’! It suddenly started to play my favourite music! Usually my radio take care of the chore! 🙂 But – with a camera shooting at 40 mpx, I thought I’d have a go at it! (And – I have sold the first one!) I’m still very happy with my main camera (Olympus M-1), but it’s getting a bit old and shoots at 16,1 mpx. Besides I always carry a phone; not so regarding a camera!

  9. Phones now are amazing…. great results from something so small. Mind you, have you money to burn? TWO new phones in as many months!…. By the way you do know you can also make phone calls with them 🙂 🙂
