Yes, yes – I know the sun decends in the West! But even so – this picture has been shot towards the East! The sun has just been decending underneath the horizon behind me, but stgill some of its last rays manage to light up a few cloud banks in my Eastern sky!
And that got you another picture! 🙂

Please return me to INDEX for a new picture/destination.
It looks like a Bob Ross painting
I don’t know Bob Ross, but looking at my own picture I’m sure he paints well?!
You can watch videos of him painting on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/user/BobRossInc
What a strange situation: the sun is behind, but all the sky is shining …
Well, by first look, yes! But if you contemplate what’s going on it’s kind of understandable.
When the sun decends eunderneath the horizon, we can’t see it! But that’s because we are standing on the ground itself. These clouds are not! In fact thay are swirling around may be 4-6000 neters above mother Earth, and if you were sitting on one of these clouds playing the harpe with everyone else :-), you’d be able to still see the sun!
Most interesting, Svein, plus I love the contrast between the treeline and the sky.
It just goes to show that one must try to take it all in – from all directions!
I’m just getting back to my comments from yesterday. We sold one of our cars which took up a good portion of the day. Yes, I agree – different directions provide different views.
But you won’t see it if your back is turned!
Svein, a sunset sky is beautiful at any angle or direction. 🎶 Christine
Yes, I agree, but usually one is hunting for sundown it the West, totally missing what happens behind ones back! No more! Never again! 🙂
Takker!
Vakkert 🙂
