On an evening stroll far into the mountains in ‘Northern Aurdal’, I managed to catch this sunset! As times go by, I’ve shot thousands of pictures from different sunsets, but rarely
something close to this! Being shot far back in time, the format is slightly different to what I normally use today, however, the colors are unique!

Please return me to INDEX for a new picture/destination.
Just stunning!…. no words adequately describe the beauty of this… 😀
It would perhaps be an inspiration and a challenge to your painting skills? 🙂
You know Svein, I have tried many a time to paint such a sky… Each time I feel its failed… for it looks false, So I gave up trying… And will leave it to the experts.. ❤ and those like yourselves who paint with their view finder..
The problem being: I’m not always at the right spot at the right time!
😀
Brilliant photo! Absolutely surreal.
Thank you! There ar e more than 7000 pictures published, of which more than 1500 are from sunsets! Please enjoy!
And I love it because I am part Norwegian!
May I ask where in Norway you’re coming from?
Wow! Beautiful picture. I am ready to move North!!!
Welcome to my blog, Francis!
I hope you’ll find what you might be looking for, because – there isn’t a grain of poetry! 🙂 There is, however, more than 7000 pictures from Norwegian nature – most all in ‘full screen’ ,- large enough to cover a screen of up to 60 inches! So please enjoy!
Fortunately you wouldn’t have to move to the North to find sunsets like this one. All you ‘ll need is a bit of luck, being in the right place at the right time and – packing a camera at the time! 🙂 But – perhaps my sunset pictures will inspire you to write more poetry? Who knows? On my front page you’ll find a small search window. Please insert the word ‘sunset’ and hit the ‘enter’-button! Now you’ll be presented to thousands of sunset pictures! I hope you find something you like?

I’m sharing a post that’s a bit different from the norm. Even though summer is starting to fade, sunsets will always remain a source of beauty. This post is just one example of excellent photography. If one takes the time to browse through this blog, there’s no doubt Norway is a beautiful country.
You may enjoy sunsets all year round, Eugenia. In fact they ar oftre more spectacular diring the winter as the air i cold and pure with lots of colors. Living up North, you may find that even the ‘Northern Lights’ may play its part . . .
Undortunately I’m living in the southern parts of Norway!
I can only imagine the beauty of the ‘Northern Lights’.
Exceptional beautiful, indeed, but – to see that you need to move into the arctic region and even then – there’s no guarantees! It appears pretty often, but not when you want it to! 🙂
Thank you, Simon!
