Mother-of-pearl Clouds

I’m sorry that the focus on the clouds themselves didn’t turn out better than it did here, but the camera in use was a rather obsolete model and furthermore the clouds were kind of fuzzy. The camera just couldn’t find a focus point to be trusted! And in such cases there are few solutions, but doing the best one may – under the circumstances.

Compliments of SRB)

  1. Have you ever in your life seen cloud reflections like these Svien as we are doing now?,, I have been cloud watching all of my life and the images I am now seeing above my own home in the clouds are increasing in their spectacular colours like at no other time in my life..
I wondered if you thought the same? or is it just my perception??

I’m told that this penomena is due to ice chrystals in the higher cloudlayers and that’s why we usually see these things from October-November till February-March. Anyway, it’s NOT an everyday
    occurance!
