‘River Atna’ II

Just recently I have presented you with a beautiful picture of the mountain massive named ‘Rondane’ located at the other side of Lake Atna? But where do you think
Lake Atna gets ists water? From ‘River Atna, of course, and this river receives generous amounts of water from 2 other rivers we have seen:
‘River Haverdalsaaa’ running through the ‘Haver Valley’ and ‘River Grimse’ running through the ‘Grimsdal Valley’.
Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

You should appreciate the water. By now I fear the whole river may have dried out !

      • Yes its very dry here.. No real rain for over six weeks

        • Seenorway says:

That is serious! People don’t seem to react, but the grain won’t be usable, and in many places they have to harvest green grain in order to get food for their livestock.
Next thing you know, there will be shortages om milk, bread and other basic foods and the prices will increase on food as for electric energy!
I’ve read alerts that next year may be even warmer!

          • Yes my husband and I spoke about the exact same thing.. They do not usually harvest grain until the end of Aug Sept.. We saw harvesters at work today in fields close by.. The grain very dry.. not sure if its mature..
But We have a Water hosepipe ban in place as reservoirs are running low.. rivers are drying out.. I put the washing up water on the plants in the garden to help .. But I doubt others ever give it much thought.. Until the water runs dry in taps..
Thanks again my friend.. Always love our chats..
