The Start (And the End)

It’s starting to get rather expencive to travel by car here in Norway! Especially since they managed to construct electronic toll gates, such toll gates seems to pop up just about everywhere, like every 10-15 miles along our main roads and around our cities. At the same time the authorities have instigated  fees on petrol and diesel to an extent that
2/3 of what we are paying goes straight to the authorities. So – unfortunately – this will most probably be my last longer journey in order to ‘market Norway’!
på Lygnasæter, men av en eller annen grunn overså jeg det faktum at man ikke serverer frokost til veifarende kl 05.00 om morgenen – eh ‘natten’ 😉 , så disse  bildene er tatt av en frustrert og kald fotograf !I had planned for a ‘one-day-trip, but since planned distance was close to 550 miles, I had to make an early start (03.30 am) My intentions, however was to get som breakfast and a cup of coffee at Lygnasaeter, but somewhere along the line there, I missed the fact that they don’t serve breakfast to anyone at 5.00 am in the morning (eh ‘night’) at Lygna!
Nor do they sell petrol! So- these pictures have been shot by a slightly frustrated and a bit cold photographer! (It was only 4 degrees C at Lygna )

But the sun is about to rise and to warm up the surrounding nature, however not so high (as of yet) that it is able to reach all the darker areas in nature. But it helps . . .

The night fog has already lifted from this closest lake, however, the small lake in the back
is even beetter sheltered from the sun and here the fog is only rising just now . . .
The remaining trip became even longer than planned, but I won’t complain. This time the weather was good to me, and the pictures taken was rather good. Will be published when I’m finished processing them!

(Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

Well, even if your government is going to penalize drivers, they can’t take away the beauty you have shared. The reflection of the trees in the water is stunning in all of the photos. Beautiful contrasts, as well.

Thank you for your pictures, so beatiful! It’s not easy to find a photographer who is at work before dawn ;). In Italy, most of what we pay for patrol and diesel are fees

Right you are! Our elected politicians dip their long fingers in our pockets any way they can! On this trip alone my total pasid in rioad tolls alone exceeded £ 50 !
On the top came gasoline costs with a nice round figure of £ 130 – all out of my pension!

It seems everywhere they penalize the car drivers. Even now in Norway! 4 degrees is pretty cold for a summer morning!
