Proud Norway!

Today is May 17th – our National celebration day – and the whole country – small or large, young or old, national or multi-culturals, we are all celebrating our National Day!
Most of the country have been blessed with nice weather as well! And then – just in the middle of all these celebrations, it appears that a foreign movie company have been travelling Norway back and forth- A total of 7 500 miles – in order to make a fantastic video including the greatest nature scenes from all the very best that Norway has to offer! Only short scenes, never long enough to tire you out, but short enough to leave you wishing for more! (And sometimes breathless!) 🙂
I found this link displayed on the front page of one of our newspapers: Dagbladet and it was titeled: ‘DISCOVER NORWAY‘ and – I admit that I became pretty proud of our country as well, even if I have been travelling my country for years camera in hand!
Honestly I think you’ll all want to see this video! (I don’t know for how long it will stay there, so jump to it!
There could be one or two ads involved here, but they might be clicked away!
Please do yourself a favour! You will never regret it! Please enjoy!
NB! And for heavens sake, please remember to click this video into
‘full screen viewing’!

NB! If you liked the video, please leave a comment so that visitors passing by don’t miss out on this opportunity!

  1. Ps reading your comment Svein I appreciate videos and have always enjoyed the links you have shared with me. Especially the train journeys xx

    • Seenorway says:

Yes I know, Sue, but I can see who open the link and who does not!
      382 visitors, 15 likes and 3 comments, why should I care? I’ve seen it – 5 times!

  2. A wonderful day of rembrance and I would click if on my pc . But not familiar on my phone set up . Xx

  3. Seenorway says:

Well, now – Let’s see! A total of 33 people have opened this post since it was posted. Of which 15 have said they liked it?! So be it. (That’s roughly 50%) And perhaps I’m more correct than I like to believe when I claim that ‘bloggers don’t bother to open links’!?
It’s a fact that I have never ever posted a link that would give the viewer a better impression of Norwegian nature. And presumably that’s why you’re all here, right?
To complete the picture: Whilst this post remained the top (latest) post published, a total of 383 people visited my blog, but because there was no visible picture (only a link) in this post, most of them must have gone elsewhere? So why should I bother? Only 5 voiced an opinion about the link! (Thank you!!!)
This is the very last ‘video-link’ you’ll ever see on this blog!

  6. C.E.Robinson says:

Svein, this is a spectacular video. I never realized Norway was so beautiful, land, sea and mountains in all seasons. The music matched the photos beautifully. Even the pause around the 4 minute mark when the wind was the music. A worthwhile 7.58 minutes! Happy Norway National Day! Christine

    • Seenorway says:

You’re very welcome, Christine! Usually I reserve such videos for my ‘Yellow Team’ only, but – since it happened to be our national celebration day, I decided to share it with you all.
So far very few comments which underlines my previous statement about ‘bloggers not taking the time to follow links’!

      • C.E.Robinson says:

So sorry they missed a wonderful video. What people do comment on is the usual blah, blah post. Go figure! Christine

        • Seenorway says:

Yes, Christine, after 16 years as active blogger I feel I have a good idea of what they react to, thus I went out of my way to explain the importance of this one. But I can’t do anything but implore on people to use the opportunities I give them. And if they don’t – so be it!
Personally I don’t have to share such links. Instead I may send them directly to the members of my ‘Yellow Team’ (like I should have in the first place!)
My problem with that is that I don’t have an e-mail address to all my ‘yellow team’ members either as this group are increasing in numbers.
A couple of years ago I published links to Wikipedia in several languages whenever I shot something of particular interest, but this service as well was terminated for the very same reason. Bloggers don’t follow links! Unfortunately!

          • C.E.Robinson says:

It’s all getting more complex. Now we must comply with GDPR Compliance requirements.

            • Seenorway says:

Well, it’s no trouble to us bloggers, Christine, but possibly WordPress will have to make some adjustments. I had a lengthy dialogue with them about this, but bodies like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and the likes will face major changes in the time to come!

            • C.E.Robinson says:

Thanks! It sounded as if we had to comply as (free one) bloggers, and the hosted was covered.

            • C.E.Robinson says:

Svein, I research the GDPR compliance and (free one) will be taken care for us. It’s the hosted people who have to do it themselves.

            • Seenorway says:

That’s right, and >I think the world may probably have less bloggers in the future?! 🙂

  7. Dina says:

    Absolutely gorgeous video! ❤ ❤ ❤
    Gratulerer med dagen, Svein!

  8. utesmile says:

What an amazing video with amazing epic music of Norwegian Thomas Bergersen, my favourite composer. Thank you for such a treat! already watched it twice… 🙂

    • Seenorway says:

It is indeed, but with only 2 people (so far) taking the trouble to see it, it will probably be some time before we venture to publish another video like this.

  9. -Eugenia says:

Norway is a naturally beautiful and pristine country, Svein. Glorius scenes of majestic mountains, sparkling waterways and welcoming towns and cities. The video is a real treat and well worth the time to view.

    • Seenorway says:

I ought to say ‘thank you’, but then again I’m not the one making this video.
But thank you for taking the trouble to see it! 🙂

      • -Eugenia says:

Well, it was nice of you to share it. I enjoyed it because I know I’ll never see it in person. Virtual tours are awesome, especially if there is a genuine interest in the content.

  10. Leyla says:

Gratulerer så mye med dagen Svein 🙂
