The Spring is here!

The spring has at last fastened its grip. The snow has for the mostly thawed away from our garden, and even if some unseen nocturnaal visitor has been chewing up our new crocus and tulip buds, it really doesn’t change anything. The spring is definitely here! For the time being these daffodils have survived. (Possibly because they are growing well out of reach! ) 🙂
Og en ung pilfink ser ut til å være ute på sin første flytur, men det er uvesentlig i dette bildet. Det som har betydning er fargen på buskens knopper! For nå spirer det!
Og jeg gleder meg!
And a young Eurasian tree sparrow seems to be out on its first flight? But that’s not essential in this picture. What is of importance is the color of the buds on this bush. Because now it’s sprouting all around! And I’m really looking forward to it all!

(Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to  INDEX  for a new picture/destination.

  1. We had summer last week, winter over the weekend and autumn at the start of this week….does look as if spring may return today for another brief visit. Admittedly our extremes are not like yours but just as noticeable 🙂

Hi Svein, Spring is back in Italy too, after a long and cold winter (according to our habits). Thank you for your beautiful pictures 🙂

  3. So pleased the snow is on its way out Svein, and so pleased to see a sparrow.. We have around twenty of these little birds as regular visitors in our garden.. We have several pairs nesting, Plus two pairs of blackbirds nesting..
Its been wonderful watching from our window them gather nesting materials to build.. 🙂
Enjoy your SPRING! 🙂 Hugs my friend

  4. A Norwegian-American friend has touted the exploration of her ancestral homeland by night train, thus allowing for devoting the daylight hours to taking in all that the country offers. The marvelous Spring scenes certainly underscore that viewpoint.
