It really looks like Spring?!

It has been an  extremely long hard, cold and snow rich winter! Many are those that wonder why billions are used to prevent the so called ‘global warming’, but the problem seems to be that whilst some zones on ‘mother Earth’ slowly becomes uninhabitable, other areas seem to be mostly unchanged?
Nevertheless I think many take a deep relieving breath when roadsides are suddenly colored yellow by this sturdy tough little customer?

  1. We had an extra treat to Summer Weather last week Svein and this week we are plunged into cold winds and rain.. But oh it was so good to feel the warmth of the sun again and it set in motion the blooms of flowers.. The grass was cut for the first time and it grew about an inch in a few days.. And my magnolia tree is in full bloom.. The Sun so welcome.. 🙂 And it allowed us to get much done in our allotments. 🙂 where I have been busy most days

This spring we have had cold and cold. Now there are floods on some areas meaning that finally spring comes.

It seems we are in for a beating in the ‘Mid-Norway- region’ where our largest river have been blocked by ice for several kilometres. When it breaks – and it will (!) – anything may happen! Enormous areas of river farm land will most likely be flooded!

And here you may really enjoy details, David. If you click it to full size, you’ll find 2 flowers, but one bud just breaking through and 3-4 others that willo probably find their way about mid-week.

  5. Called weeds by some but to me another beautiful flower packed with detail…… and yes, a true sign of spring.
