Today is a kind of anniversary here at ‘SeeNorway’, the reason being – as you may see – today it’s 5 years ago that this blog was established. During this time, we have met a number of very nice and committed people all over the world. How has the blog been doing in these 5 years? Well, thank you, we may say that we are happy with our progress.
Throughout these years we have published 1345 posts (average 5.2 posts per week) together with 6754 pictures – mostly in full screen – which would come to 26 images / week (3.7 images/day for 5 years) Feedback has resulted in a total of 219,011 views from a total number of 118,810 visitors who have left a total of 32 867 ‘Likes’ (about 1′ for every 4th visitor), so maybe we need to do even better in the future?
Over the last 6 months, we have also upgraded our base of ‘followers’, all of which have been verified for activity and agenda. Here we have been able to reduce the number of ‘followers’ from 1003 to about 150 – and without our traffic volume having changed significantly. Which proves that those we have removed did not really have what we expect from a ‘follower’.
A warm thanks to all those that have loyally been following us through the years. So far
we’ll try to keep it up at least for another year – provided that we’ll retain our health on present level. It would be exiting to leave this project with 300 000 views and 7500 pictures published. At least that’s the prognosis – and our hope!
(Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to INDEX for a new picture/destination.
Happy anniversary!
Grazie!
Congratulations 🎊🎊🎊🎊
It is intriguing how removing not suitable followers actually left you with the same response value from the more serious followers. May you continue happily with even more certainty for the future.

Only five months…..😊
Well, Miriam, I’m convinced that most bloggers could do the same becausae there are a lof of ‘would-bee-bloggers’ that find blogging far tougher than anticipated and just leave their blogs doing nothing about it.
At least 50% was old blogs like that. The fault was as much mine because I hade done no maintenance-work for 5 years. Now I know what’s happening around me, but –
(A word of warning) You got to be very careful to remove the right profiles and not the live ones! Otherwise you’re ‘dead’! 😉
Reblogged this on BrewNSpew and commented:
Sharing a 5th Anniversary celebration. 5 years of stunning photos and narrative by Svein.
Thank you!
Wishing everyone welcome to check out my blog and the nearly 7000 pictures to be found there!
Congratulations, Svein. I feel privileged to be one of your followers. Your photography, as well as your commentary, is delightful. My take away from your blog is not only the enjoyment of stunning photos but the educational aspect, as well. It’s amazing what you have posted in five years. Bravo!
Aw, thank you, Eugenia!” I wouldn’t know about the educational bit 🙂 but I like to share photos from our nature! And the bonus will be that people appreciate what I do!
From here on it’s one year at a time . . . (As long as I feel I might cope!)
😉 Your narratives give the photos more meaning, especially to those of us that have never been to Norway..
Warm congratulations Svein.. And it has been my pleasure in following you and being rewarded by so many delightful scenes from your part of the world.. Wishing you continued success in your blog posts.. And sending much love from the UK.
Thank you! That’s your reward being a loyal follower for years, Sue!
Haha.. my pleasure Entirely Svein.. xxx
Congrats with your anniversary!
Thank you! Hoping to keep it going for a while yet . . .
Of course, Christine, and one of the side effects of these efforts is that we are getting to know our followers in a much better way. Also because we check the URL’s of all new ‘followers’ in order to establish whether they are into nature photography and/or travels contrary to businesses trying to market their own interests. You’re very much appreciated! 🙂
Congratulations, Svein. Impressive stats. Happy that I’m one of 150 dedicated followers. You know I enjoy your blog photographs and narratives. Christine
