Panorama – Lierdalen

These pictures have been taken from a viewpoint high up in the hills named ‘Linneslia’ outside of the city of Drammen. In this first picture you may se large parts of the City of Drammen (Population: 62 000 people), but please observe that large parts of the city are hidden behind the hill named ‘Brageraasen (to the right in this picture).

The 2nd picture has been taken from the same location , but show you the agricultural part of the municipality of ‘Lier’ and the lower part of the ‘Lier valley’. In the municipality of liert the population is very close to 25 600 people at the last count!
(Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to INDEX for a new picture/destination.

Drammen is a beautiful city, Svein. I love the way the cities are nestled in the mountains.

That is more or less our way of living. Even Oslo – our capital – have very few buildings with more than 20 floors high. In Drammen I don’t think you’ll find any!
The majority of houses are between 2 – 4 floors.
