River Uvdalsaaa

It may look a bit peculiar with 3 a’s in a caption, but that’s the way it is when the Norwegian name include one of our very special letters, internationally written with a double ‘a’!  It doesn’t change the river in any way, nor the fantastic nature around it, and I think it deserves to be presented to the world around us? So here it is!
The picture has been taken in the upper parts of the valley of ‘Uvdal’ in the county of Buskerud!

Thank you! The optimum time would have been one week furteher ahead (but no more) as there would have been a bit more ‘light green’ in the picture, but in 2 weeks ypou’d only see the river and the closest trees.

  2. Love to see the white water ripple across a river bed.. Beautiful view xx

This picture was taken early May before the foilage had grown out, thus some more of that nature would be visible.

What stunning contrasts between the rapids and the serene scene behind them. Also stunning colors from deep blue to azure blue to sky blue.
