Exit August

Then we have arrived at the last day of the month of August! And fortunately it didn’t become all that bad. Yes, we had a spot of rain in the late afternoon, but it cleared away and only gave the evening  somewhat fresher air. At the same time it created some cloud formations worth photographing giving us a worthy end of the month of August!
There aren’t really all that much to be said about each of these pictures, so I’ll leave you to form your own impressions or opinions. Please enjoy!

The first photo is very interesting. The clouds below the heavy cloud cover appear to be escaping the mouth of a volcano. Stunning cloud formations and colors. We got some of the bands from Harvey which due to the gusty winds, leaves are covering the ground. Tomorrow we are expecting a temperature drop, which it is beginning to seem like fall.

    Wonderful sunset!

  4. and onwards into September…not autumn yet but a month of change (or as my wife says season of transition before autumns arrival) 🙂

That’s one way of looking at it – pushing it all a bit further away . . .
The snow must be coming as a real chock to her? 🙂

      • Just a way of saying that between now and autumn and long before winter we have this transition season distinct in its own way to all the others

Yes, I know what you mean, and what’s making it different from year to year is the difference in time between the first frost and the first storms! I’ve seen years that the fall was over in 48 hours 🙂 , but let’s hope for a few weeks with striking colors?!

Ja da var sommeren definitivt over for i år! Hvor mange flere får vi oppleve?
