Tonight’s Light-Show

....................
This is NOT a post like all others!  This time it’s important that you read what is written!
Firstly – this is the opening of the event we promised you after having processed yesterdays photo shoot, but – this time we’re opening with only one single picture (RAW).
The reason being that we have repeatedly asked for your opinions as to sunsets as future motives and the use of RAW format the way we did, but for all purposes you have all neglected to respond! Not to any of it!

So what do we do then? We could of course have dropped it all – entirely, but we have decided to give it one more try:  As you’ll notice, we’re publishing one singel picture in (RAW). Upon reception of ‘like’ no.2, we’ll add another picture!  ‘Like no 2’ will result in yet another picture. In short – we’ll be trying to match the number of received ‘likes’ to the number of published pictures!  A total of 10 ‘likes equals 10 pictures! However, we stress the fact that applies only to this particular post! Not to any others! Then we’ll see for how long we may keep this up?

At the same time we’ll be using this opportunity to take a very special interest in our list of ‘followers’! For years now, we’ve had a crowd 0f 900 – 1000 ‘followers’, but at the same time the medium respons to our different post have been lying in the range of 18 – 30!
It doesn’t quite add up! (And thet’s the situation for most of you as well?! )

We’re going to keep tabs on who’ responding to this particular post and who’s not!
But – our only means of registry are given ‘comments’ or ‘likes’. The final list will be added to that of ‘old friends’, but5 then we will meticiously control our list of followers – name by name. Those that we have not seen nor heard from since registry will be removed!
Businesses that are obviously more into marketing than having an interest for photography – likewise!  This is not the place! This blog is for people loving nature, travels and photography as a pleasant hobby!
So if you want to be a 100% sure about your place on our list, the easiest way is to ensure this by leaving a ‘comment’ or a ‘like’ to this very post?
Then we’re hoping to see as many of you as possible when the storm dies down?  🙂
(Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to INDEX for a new destination

  1. I didn’t have a moment to look the other day when you mentioned this post was up so I’m back today and so happy I did! I love your sunsets and many look like paintings but the one’s that just grab me are the purple ones!!! Also, in the 11th shot it looks like the world is about to end or something – very dramatic look!! Thanks!

Thank you! This is the way I love to work it. You only get one sunset at a time, however, it’s possible to work it through different lenses, settings, filters and more. And sometimes (as in this one) it’s so massive that it may be worked in entirely different directions/clouds as time goes by.
As I mentioned: Within something like 20-25 minutes a shot something lik 75-80 frames. But – it’s not possible to show them all because shooting rapidly like this, the differences between some shots/frames may in some situations be marginal.
But I’m very pleased that you enjoyed the show! 🙂

      • Yes, very much so! So I am understanding you took ALL of these shots in one day?!?! Once the weather cools down here a bit I want to go camping somewhere so I have a good view of some nice sunsets and try to use my tripod.

        • Seenorway says:

That’s one way of working it. Personally I feel I’m getting too much ‘tied up’ in a tripod.
Absolutely all my shots are free hand photography! I do have a tripod, but if I have used it for more than 2-3 shots over the last 5 years that’s max!
Instead I’ve chosen to work with an ISO of 400 – 800 which usually will give me shutterspeeds from 1/500 – 1/1500. If I was shooting portraits it would, of course, be different.

I hope you are well my friend.. I had a few days off from blog land, to enjoy family, Father’s Day, and prepare for my Husbands special Birthday. 🙂
And yes I too now have over a thousand.. but around 40 visit regular and around 80 press like..
Many press follow these days then disappear into the night! 😉

Reblogged this on BrewNSpew and commented:
Sharing beautiful sunset photos from Svein.

  6. -Eugenia says:

I appreciate all of the pictures as each one has a different personality – depth, color and movement. It appears to me the first and last pic and in full height? Am I correct in my thinking for the last pic? It’s unfortunate more people don’t join in and comment since where else will they find such beautiful photography! Their loss, IMO. Reblogging.

    • Seenorway says:

Thank you, Eugenia. Well, du to your visit there’ll be even one more picture published in a minute or two! 🙂
And you’re quite right: Th first icture and the two last published (at thje moment) are all shot in RAW, thus giving you a fuller perspective of height.

  7. Seenorway says:

Thank you, Nia. Pleased that you like them. I have many more, but I’m keeping up with the ‘likes’ 🙂
