Whipped Cream

No, no, – I have no intentions baking some kind of cake!  Far from it we were actually contemplating spring wondering if it would finally fasten it grip? And instead ‘King Winter’ made a come back in full force!
April?

Yes, yes, we were alerted to this downpoor in advance, but they did also tell us that it would be mostly rain, and that this strange white substance would only occur  at heights above  160 feet. And since I’m living at 250 feet above sea level, of course it would come down as snow?!
And if you are wondering what happened to that ugly power line from my first picture, I’ve cut it down!  Digitally, of course! There are so many things out of normal around us; like 8 inches of snow on the morning of April 24th?

As the daffodils on the wall indicate, we are still in kind of an ‘Easter Modus’, and we really don’t need suprises of this kind! Neither does the nature around us! If you look closely (full screen viewing) you’ll discover a green ‘shadow’ over the woods in the background? That is the natures way of creating an illusion of spring! So far I note that this ‘summer’ seems to have been the shortest of all time?!

  1. Yes the weather is up and down and its been the same here.. No snow.. but warm as a summers day in March and then plummeting to freezing and frosts…. Hail and thunder last week..

Mother nature does not play fair, does she? She’s been quite moody lately. Beautiful photos.

  4. They threaten us with some snow tomorrow (Tuesday)….it has certainly gone very much colder even though we still have sunshine and mainly blue skies. The hope is that the frost and snow will not be too severe as we have a lot of tender new growth about and we don’t really want any spring set backs.

I can relate to that position, David, but nature is full of secrets. By some mysterious ways nature seems to overcome such shocks. And I’ll have you know that we did check out the weather last year at this time: And April 30th (2016) it did in fact snow rather heavily in our part of the country!
Here it’s supposed to snow tomorrow as well, but we’re getting there – sloooowly!

    🙂
