Not as expected –

When I threw a glance out the window it looked rather promising: I clear sun in the sky and a few exiting cloud formations on the horizon.
So I chanced it, grabbed my camera and an extra battery and started out for a position that would give me a best possible shooting angle . . .

But – it doesn’t always turn out the way one expect (or hope for), ’cause when the sun went down, there wasn’t a clout to be seen anywhere. They had disappeared in the opposite direction of what I expected. Insteda I got the opportunity to test a new technique that let me shoot directly into the sun without getting a complete ‘burn-out’. Besides there was an icy cold wind which made this trip a bit unpleasant.

But on my return trip I got a small bonus shot, ’cause her I found the cloud formations I had expected to frame my sunset.
(Compliments of SRB)
Please return me to INDEX for a new destination

Thank you, Sue! I was very satisfied with being able to shoot that picture without a massive ‘burn out’, but now I know that technique works. Of course, there is a burn-out in the sun disc itself, but that can’t be helped whatever one does.
Today the weather is just the same, but the icy cold winds have subsided.

  4. I still enjoyed that clear golden skyline and sunset Svein. and that pretty pink behind the trees a rich reward for you patience..
Wishing you a Wonderful Thursday my friend
