Fantoft Stavkirke

Fantoft Stavkirke sto opprinnelig i Fortun i Sogn og antas å være bygget engang i 1150.
I 1883 ble den solgt, demontert og gjenoppbygget på Fantoft utenfor Bergen.
 I 1992 brant imidlertid kirken ned til grunnen! Kirken som står der idag er en rekonstruert kirke bygget så nøyaktig som mulig basert på dokumenter fra den opprinnelige. For mer informasjon, vennligst se link her.

Originally the Fantoft stav church was erected in Fortun in Sogn, believed to have been built around 1150. In 11883, however, it was sold, dismantled and re-built at Fantoft just outside the city of Bergen.
In 1992 the church was burned to the ground! The church you may see here today is a replica of the original church, built as close as possible to the original church.
