Hjerkinn er en gammel skyss-stasjon og dessuten det høyeste punkt (1017 moh) på Dovrebanen mellom Oslo og Trondheim! Noe de færreste har hørt om, er at det også finnes en flystripe her oppe, dvs. ca 5 km nedover mot Folldal. Jeg så den aldri! Men en fantastisk natur har man her oppe!  Dette bilder er tatt fra Eysteinskirken øverst i Folldal og viser den gamle bebyggelsen på Hjerkinn. Det var dessverre overskyet da bildet ble tatt!
Hjerkinn is an old waystation beetween Oslo and Trondheim, but – it’s also tyhe highest point on the’Dovre Railway’ with its 3356 feet above sea level. What very few people have ever heard about isa that there’s supposed to be an airfield in the area (About 3 miles down into the neighbouring ‘Folldal’), but I never saw one! But the nature up here is fabulous!
This picture has been shot from the ‘Eysteins Church’ towards Hjerkinn ans show you the old buildings up there. (Overcast, as you may see!)
