Her har vi tatt et bilde langs hovedveien inn gjennom Hemsedal, men legg merke til fjelltoppen i det fjerne: ‘Veslehødn’ med den berømte ‘Hydnefossen’ som med sine 4 løp sttuper mot dalbunnen 475 meter lenger nede. De øverste 155 meterne faller Hydnefossen i ‘fritt fall’. Om vinteren representerer fossen en spennende utfordring for veltrente is-klatrere fra fjern og nær!
Here we have shot a picture along the main road into the valley of ‘Hemsedal’, but – please observe the mountain un the back: ‘Veslehoedn’ rising something like 4400 feet with the renowned waterfall ‘Hydnefossen’  with its 4 separate runs plunging 1570 feet towards the valley floor. The upper 500 feet is a ‘free fall’!
During the winter season the waterfall represents an exciting challenge to local as well as visiting ice-climbers!
