The Borgund Stav Church

Picture 836bIt’s said the the Borgund Stav Church is one of the best maintained ‘stav churhes’ in the country, but I really don’t know . . .?  Then the rest might not be in a very good shape?
Usually the Borgund Stav church is dated back to 1150 – 1200 and the years are really starting to pile up?
Also I noticed signs with ‘photography prohibited’! (What on Earth for?)
If you are a tourist, then that’s what you are! Besides most anybody today posess a modern camera with built-in zoom capabilities.
(Compliments of SRB )

Please return me to INDEX for a new destination.
