Jeg kom plutselig til å oppdage at vi bare har mottatt 15 ‘likes’ på vår
INDEX? En Index som tross alt inneholder informasjon om ikke mindre enn 800 innlegg?
Og med nesten 1000 abonnenter registrert, HVOR MANGE AV DERE
har egentlig noen gang besøkt vår ‘INDEX’-tjenste? 15? Det nekter jeg faktisk å tro på !
Er det da slik å forstå at dere heller vil lete dere frem på lykke og fromme gjennom et arkiv som idag strekker seg over 4 år? For da kan vi jo rett og slett bare fjerne hele greia?

An ‘Index’ that in fact includes details of no less than 800 posts!

Am I to understand that you actually prefer to browse our archives at random instead of finding what you’re looking for in a minute? If so, we might as well contemplate to remove the whole thing?

Best way is to google map of Norway to get ‘the lay of the land’!
Then you might open the Index. Welcome back!

An index is a good idea, and very professional, but not something I would think to “like”. I like photos or posts when they appeal to me. I have an index on my site. I imagine 1% use it.

Good to hear! Then it’s nothing I’ve done wrong?
If it should save time (compared to archives) you’d of course need to know a little about Norwegian counties and their locations,
but I thought that anybody wanting to find out more about an new country would start just there: By the map?!
But evidently I’m wrong about this?!
As for ‘likes’: You’ll note that this grievance have received a number of ‘likes’? 🙂
Likes may be given to just about anything it seems?

That like button is somthing I have trouble understanding. I agree with you and love to talk about it but I don’t literally “like” it like I might a photograph.
I am trying to make my WP site make sense with catagories.

I don’t think I can ‘walk that road’? In Norway we have 19 counties at for the time being 428 municipalities. There would probably be at least 3-4 larger settlementes within each municipality, which would raise my potentail categories to something like 16-1700’s ?
I’m getting too old for this shit! 🙂

I group my categories to simplify it. See my blog and look at my Catagories menu. I would start with the 19 counties and not list every place. And have a search tool for place names. Many ways to do this. I know some of this sh.. can be agravating 🙂

Yes, if they know what they are looking for, I have the text widget box that may be handy. However, most of the time they only know that their distant relatives came from somwhere on the western coast, and have little or no idea what the place of origin was . . .
But I’m very surprised when so few actually take the Index to use. It is very time efficient!

Creo recordar que sólo utilicé el índice una vez. Me arreglo con los avisos que recibo por correo de cada nueva entrada para seguir su blog. Magnífico, por cierto.

el índice en el que puede encontrarse un nuevo informe ?
