Spring at last . . .

We’ve reached mid-April, and in our parts of the world there’s so far been an icy cold sspring! Today, however, the forecast read ‘bright sun’, but – it certainly took its time today! Instead we received a serious rain squall with strong gusts of wind to go with it!
And even when the rain was pooring down, the sun suddenly broke through!
Now it’s really looking like the spring is here . . .

Beautiful flowers! Here in Poland we have usually very long autumn, which is turning to summer in April or early May ( I mean in these years). No winter, no snow, daisy blossoms while Christmas🙂

      Hi Kokodynia,

That has been a trend in our parts also. Going back a few decades the snow would come in late October and last till mid-April with a rather short spring April/May,
but – through the later years there has been modest amounts of snow (compared to earlier years) and the spring have started late February till May.
That’s where I live!!! (We have an extremely long country!) In other parts of the country the snow have been lying 15-20 feet deep!!! Across the Hardanger mountain plains the snow levels (today) might be
      exceeding 20 feet !!!

  5. Just to show off……our crocus finished long ago🙂

    • Seenorway says:

Yeah, I know you’re located a bit to the west of us, David.
But we get to use each new day a couple of hours before you get to it!🙂

      • and as the summer progresses it only gets that much better for you…oh! those long daylight hours. But don’t forget winter can be much darker for longer

        • Seenorway says:

It depends a bit where in the country one live. Up north, there’s no daylight at all through the winter. Down here where I live, at least we have 4-6 hours of daylight through the winter.
But we don’t have daylight around the clock during summer, like up north!

Men ‘vårlig’? Javisst!
