AS bit north of Bodø lies the community of Sørfold. Here the Germans were working a railway project using prisoners of war during WW II. Fortunately it was never finished, but traces may be found here at Kobbelv!
The nature is beautiful here by Kobbelv. And in addition there is a large hotel located just here in Kobbelv.
A Norwegian ‘troll’ seems to try his luck with fishing above the waterfall, but perhaps he could have chosen a better spot . . .?
The river floats underneath the road and hurtle itself down a narrow gorge, and in the bottom of this gorge we may observe what’s left of the Germans railway project.
