Simoa- Eggedal

Et lite gløtt inn i Eggedal og elven ‘Simoa’ –
A small glimpse into ‘Eggedal’ and the river ‘Simoa’
Nye bilder 623Denne fossen heter ‘Kolsrudfossen’. Ikke særlig stor eller farlig, men et yndet motiv for dem sol liker å tegne eller male.

This little waterfall is called ‘Kolsrudfossen’. Not particularly wild or dangerous, but a cherished motive for those who like to draw or paint –
Nye bilder 635Lenger oppe i Simoa ser det slik ut –
Further upstream Simoa river it looks like this –

Nye bilder 657Her et bilde av den berømte ‘Andersnatten’ som har vært motiv for en lang rekke kjente norske kunstnere, – kanskje særlig Th. Kittelsen.

Here a picture of the renowned mountain ‘Andersnatten’, which has been a motive for a number of well known Norwegian artists, – perhaps especially Th. Kittelsen.

Og dette er bare starten. Det kommer en full reportasje fra ‘kunstnerdalen’ – Eggedal!

And this is the start only. A full photo report fra the ‘valley of artists’ – ‘Eggedal’ will be coming to you.

    • Hi Sue,
‘Moving water’ does that to many people. It might also be something in the sound that we sort og associate when we see such pictures. Watch those that take pictures where they use this movement to make waterfalls look like veils.

        • Painting? Yes, I figure. It’s ‘a hundred years’ since I found myself painting with oils :-), but if I should try to create a veil today, I’d probably experiment deluting my paint with terpentine to a 20% color intensity? Would it work?
