What happened?

Since I started my blog the response to my photos have been ever increasing. And I’m extremely happy with the way things have turned out.  My last 8-10 published posts has resulted in rather massive responses within hours of publishing. There has been 15 – 30 ‘Likes’ in a matter of 3-4 hours from publishing.

So at 6.00 pm today (4 hours ago) I published another photo report. Imagine my surprise when I came back 4 hours later only to observee that there had been absolutely no respons what so ever? No comments. No ‘likes’, not even a single page view! So I really wonder what happened here? With more than 70 registered ‘followers’ I just can’t believe that everyone should loose their interest in my blog/photos at the very same time today?

So I’ll have to ask: Did you receive the usual mail informing you of a new post published at 6.00 pm today, or have something gone horribly wrong in the system with WordPress?

I’ll be ever so thankful for any information that may shed some light on the situation.

    I think your fine…

    • Thank you, Misty –
And I’m not overly worried, but I didn’t quite buy the silence. There must have been some hic-ups somewhere along the road and I’m trying to establish were . . .
Than you for reading and adressing the problem.

  2. Thanks, Pit! I read you so that you also received the notifiaction on the one post published at 6.00 pm today (Sunndalsøra)?
I’m getting a revised look on things here 😀 Because to my concrete question in this case, I have now received 3 ‘likes’ and no comments. Which should indicate that ‘English’ is no longer a world language? 🙂
    Thanks for adressing the problem!

I must admit I’m really not sure about “Sunndalsøra”. there’s no like by me, which means I have not seen it in my e-mail notifications [these, btw, can take a few hours after publishing a post, btw]. But it did appear in my reader. I must have overlooked it there.
      Best regards from southern Texas,

      • Hi Pit,
I have come to an conclusion that many must be giving their ‘Like’ directly from the mailbox, but without actually seeing what they’re supposed to like? Why? Because quite a lot have overlooked the question and instead given me a ‘Like’ (like usual)
So if there have been something wrong with the e-mail client, with me, WP or my internet host, it might have caused this to happen? It looks OK now, but I certainly got a small ‘eyeopener’ here 😀

I seem to regularly receive e-mails notifying me of new postings by you. And I also seem to have all of your new posts in my reader. And I usually leave my “like” then.
Hope the “problem” will be resolved soon,
